ABOUT SENIOR MASTER SEYFETTIN ERYORUK

The journey of Senior Master Seyfettin Eryörük in the world of Taekwon-Do not only reflects his achievements as an athlete and his dedication as a coach and official but also his continuous personal and professional development. Today, he is the proud holder of the 8th DAN in Taekwon-Do, an accomplishment that qualifies him as a Senior Master. This distinction is not just a testament to his profound knowledge and abilities in this martial art but also his long-standing devotion and contribution to the evolution of Taekwon-Do.

His journey began in 1978 under the guidance of Master Lee Ki Yung, the Secretary-General to the inventor of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi. This comprehensive training laid the foundation for his career and lifelong commitment to Taekwon-Do.

As an athlete, he achieved remarkable successes, including titles such as Hessen Champion, North Rhine-Westphalian Champion, German Champion, International Champion in 1990, a fourth place at the World Championship in 1994 in Leicester by Taekwondo International, the European Championship title in 1996, and again the title of International Champion in 1997.

In addition to his competitive achievements, he also devoted himself to coaching and administrative work within the associations. In 1994, He assumed the role of national coach for GTA-ITF Germany and became technical director. In 1996, he was appointed deputy chairman while continuing my duties as national coach. From 1997 to 2002, He also took on the role of national coach for the UTI (Unified Taekwon-Do International) association. From 1995 to 1998, he served as the national coach for light contact in WaKo Türkiye and continued my leadership as the technical director of the IBV (Interactive Budo Association) from 2002 to 2010. A career highlight was founding ITF Germany, where he served as head referee and board member from 2012 to 2024, significantly shaping the development of Taekwon-Do in Germany.

Since 2019, he has served as the president of the ITF – Union Türkiye.

Over the years, He has trained more than 5000 students and passed on his extensive knowledge and experience. Many of his students have achieved outstanding success and have become German champions, European champions, and world champions. These achievements are proof of the effectiveness of his teaching and the values he conveys.

His induction into the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame® as a holder of the 8th DAN and as a Senior Master in Taekwon-Do is an honor that reflects the recognition of his lifelong dedication, my contribution to promoting Taekwon-Do, and my role as a mentor and teacher to thousands of students. His path in Taekwon-Do highlights the importance of dedication, hard work, and the relentless pursuit of improvement – principles that he embodies in his teaching and his life.
