ABOUT GM ROBERT DUNN
- Grandmaster Robert Dunn started his Martial Arts training in 1962, where Grandmaster Parker Shelton once owned a School in North Carolina.
- In 1969, Grandmaster Robert Dunn was introduced to Grandmaster Kong Young Il a Pioneer inthe Art of Taekwon-Do and started his training in Taekwon-Do under the direction of Grandmaster Kong Young Il.
- In 1970, Grandmaster Robert Dunn opened his first Taekwon-Do school
- In 1977, Grandmaster Robert Dunn met Grandmaster Ahn Eung Choon and started training under him.
- In 1987, Grandmaster Ahn Eung Choon certified Grandmaster Robert Dunn as an International Judge.
- In 1988, Grandmaster Robert Dunn was inducted into the International Karate Hall of Fame byDan Soward, the president of the International Karate Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- 1989, Grandmaster Robert Dunn was contracted to teach the Art of Taekwon-Do to Peruvian troops in Lima, Peru.
- Grandmaster Robert Dunn competed in Regional and National level tournaments during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.
- Grandmaster Robert Dunn has competed with and trained and received seminars from many of the pioneers in the Martial Arts.
- 2009, on February 21st Grandmaster Robert Dunn was promoted to Grandmaster 9th. Dan Black Belt by Grandmaster Eung Choon Ahn in Macon, Georgia
- 2013, Grandmaster Robert Dunn was inducted into the Black Belt Karate Hall of Fame by Jeff
Helaney the president of the Black Belt Hall of Fame in Omaha, Nebraska - 2013, Grandmaster Robert Dunn establishes a European International Headquarters in the United Kingdom.
- 2013, Grandmaster Robert Dunn establishes a Caribbean International Headquarters in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
- 2014, Grandmaster Robert Dunn establishes a Israeli International Headquarters in Hoshmonaim, Israel.
- 2014, Grandmaster Robert Dunn has now established International JTF schools in a number of
countries around the world - 2014, Grandmaster Robert Dunn is Recognized by the Black Belt Hall of Fame and Awarded the Pioneer & Legends Award from Grandmaster Jeff Helaney.
- 2017, Grandmaster Robert Dunn is Inducted into the Official Taekwon-Do Hall of Fame and Recognized as a Pioneer of Taekwon-Do in the New York City Ceremony.
- 2018, Grandmaster Robert Dunn travels to Southeast Asia to train Black Belts in the Philippines and train with Grandmaster Kong Young Il in Vietnam.
- 2018, Grandmaster Robert Dunn is appointed as Secretary General of the Young Brothers
Taekwon-Do International (YBTI) by Grandmaster Kong Young IL – International Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. - 2018, Grandmaster Robert Dunn was inducted into the 2018 “Who’s Who” in Martial Arts in a ceremony in Washington, DC.
- 2019, Grandmaster Robert Dunn was selected to be inducted into the “The Book of Grandmasters”, sanctioned by the United States National Grandmasters Federation.
- 2019, Grandmaster Robert Dunn was Honored in the 2019 “Who’s Who” in Martial Arts in a
ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada. - 2019, Grandmaster Robert Dunn attends the Taekwon-Do Hall of Fame Ceremonies in Bangkok, Thailand with 4 of his students that have become Grandmasters for their Induction.
- 2020, Grandmaster Robert Dunn received the General Choi Hong Hi Award from Australia for being an Outstanding Grandmaster.
- 2021, Grandmaster Robert Dunn was featured on the cover of Totally TaekwonDo Magazine, June edition 147.
- 2022 Grandmaster Robert Dunn takes a team of IJTF Master Instructors to Puerto Rico to conduct seminars & Black Belt Testings.
- 2022, Grandmaster Robert Dunn attends the Taekwon-Do Hall of Fame Ceremonies in Jersey City, New Jersey along with 6 of his students in support of their induction.
- 2022, Grandmaster Robert Dunn establishes a Regional Headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for the International JTF.
