GM Dae Sup An

Grandmaster Dae Sup An is perhaps one of the greatest of the great Taekwondo champions that competed during the 60’s in national and friendly matches in Korea and Japan. One of the lesser known facts is that he co- founded Taekwondo in Mexico with David Moon after both arrived there in 1969. While David Moon founded Moo Duk Kwan Dae Sup An founded the Jidokwan.

1968 – Invited by Mexican Tae Kwon Do Association to teach Tae Kwon Do in Mexico
1972 – Invited to Ecudaor, South America to teach & coach the President’s Guards and Military Academy
1976 – Received 7th Degree Black Belt from the Korea Tae Kwon Do Association
1976-1980 Served as Vice President of the Jidokwan Association-Midewest (Chicago)

2022 – GM Dae Sup An received the highest honor in Taekwondo upon being inducted into the OFFICIAL TAEKWONDO HALL OF FAME® (August 19, 2022)
