About GM Assadullah Oriakhel

GM Assadullah Oriakhel commenced Tae-Kwon-Do in 1973 under the instructions of GM Phil Cunningham Jr. in Afghanistan. Mr. Oriakhel trained over 20,000 Afghans in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Four of Mr. Oriakhel’s students participated in the first Tae-Kwon Do championship which took place in Kabul Afghanistan in 1977. They got gold and silver medals in this historic championship. In another occasion twenty students of Mr. Oriakhel participated in the Pakistan Tae-Kwon Do National championship which took place in Peshawar Pakistan in 1993. 16 out of 20 got gold medal in various weights.

Due to Soviet’s occupation of Afghanistan Mr. Oriakhel and his students took refuge to other countries i.e. Pakistan, Tajikistan, India, Australia, Britain, Germany, Canada and United States and established their own Tae-Kwon-Do schools. GM Ahmad Shakib Barati, GM Mohsen Wafa Barati, GM Sayed Gholam Sakhi Rasoul, GM Abdul Hameed Madadi, GM Amir Sultani GM M. Anwar Yousufi, GM M. Reza Yousufi and Master Najibullah Shinwari are the most prominent International and National instructors, trainers and judges. They have successfully participated in many TKD national and international championships and made history in their names.
