Jacquelyn Jones

One of the USA’s pioneer female champions the late Jacquelyn (Jackie) Jones a member of the 1978 USA Female National Taekwondo Team. Coached by Grand Master Tae Yun Kim, USA’s all time most successful female coach, she won silver at the 1978 First Pre-World Taekwondo Games held at Kukkiwon in 1978. What was so amazing was that Jackie was only 16 years old when she competed on the USA national team against adults in a world level against adults in a foreign land. Many thanks to her daughter who reached out to us  to provide these historic never before published photos. While she is no longer with us this champion who helped pave the way for today’s world and Olympic champions will never be forgotten.
