ABOUT GRAND MASTER ATA ALAVI

Grand Master Ata Alavi originally from Iran and now residing in the Netherlands started training Taekwondo in Grand Master Mansoor Fakoury’s classes in 1975. He (Master Fakoury) was one of the very first promoters of Taekwondo in Iran. Grand Master Ata Alavi taught Taekwondo in Iran for over thirteen (13) years. One of his students during that time, Mr. Davoud Etminani become coach of the National teams of England and Belgium. Grand Master Ata Alavi emigrated to the Netherlands in 1993 and in 1997 started his own Taekwondo club in Rotterdam called ATA OLYMPIC.

COMPETITIVE RECORD

Four (4) time National Gold Medalist , Tehran, Iran (1980, 1983, 1988, 1990)
Two (2) time gold medals in the regular sparring Champs in Iran (1980, 1990)
Twenty Six (26) time gold medalist in Dutch National Poomsae Competition
Won 150 medals of International Poomsae Championships bronze, silver and gold
1985 – Became member of the national demonstration team
