This plaque was presented to GM Michael Vasquez in recognition of his distinguished achievement as an outstanding player on the 1977 USA National Team. Presented by the National AAU Tae Kwon Do Committee, 1977. He was also a member of the 1978, 1979 and 1980 USA National Teans. On April 10th, 2009 he received the highest honor in Taekwondo in being inducted into the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame.
In 2015 he special honors in Korea from the World Taekwondo Jidokwan in Jidokwan at the Taekwondowon facility in Muju while accompanied by his father Michael Vasquez Sr. who was his first instructor and big game hunting partner.
