The MEDAL OF ORDER OF AUSTRALIA (OAM), established in 1975 by Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH II, recognizes Australians who have made a lasting contribution to their communities and the nation. It is conferred on behalf of KING CHARLES III and presented by the Governor-General of Australia.The recipient’s name was announced celebrating his impact measured by service, integrity, and enduring contributions to Australia.This year’s’ highly prestigious honor was awarded to Mr. Jean Kfoury, President of Australian Taekwondo and member of the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame. However the previous award went to Grand Master Hassan Iskandar former President of Australia Taekwondo. Both will be attending the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame on in Jersey City, New Jersey U.S.A. on August 14-15, 2026.
