HISTORIC DOCUMENT – This letter is indisputable proof that the very first program to bring foreign Taekwondo practitioners to Kukkiwon in Korea for training was organized by this writer Gerard Robbins, in 1978. The construction of the kukkiwon was only completed approximately 5 years earlier just in time for the 1st World Taekwondo Championships which were held in September of 1973. As there was no internet It was sent to this writer by regular mail by Mr. Woo Young Hyun, Secretary General of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) in 1978 . It is being maintained in Taekwondo Hall of Fame Museum in the “historic documents section”.
