This is the trophy from the Inaugural National Canadian Taekwondo Open Championships held in Toronto, Canada held in 1972. 1972 was the year that the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) founded by General Choi Hong Hi. It was the beginning of the spread of Taekwon-Do during that era. Many Thanks to ITF Grandmaster Mounir Ghrawi for assisting in. the preservation of this historic relic. GM Ghrawi received the highest honor in Taekwondo upon being inducted into the OFFICIAL TAEKWONDO HALL OF FAME®
