The medal shown here is perhaps one of the most if not the most historic medal in USA organized Taekwondo. It was won by Gary Mule at the First Official National Taekwondo Championships held at Yale University in New Haven , Connecticut in 1975. Others who won the gold who earned a birth on the first Official USA National Team included: Bill Felton, Bob Phillips, Dennis Robinson, Terrance Watson, Clark Murphy, this writer, Joseph Hayes and allternate John Holloway.
