2nd World Taekwondo Championships Banner (1975)
This banner never before seem by the global Taekwondo community commemorates the 2nd World Taekwondo Championships, held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from August 28 to August 31, 1975. Sponsored by the World Taekwondo Federation and organized by the Korea Taekwondo Association, the event marked a pivotal moment in the international consolidation and global recognition of Taekwondo as a modern martial art and competitive sport.
The United States Taekwondo Museum gratefully acknowledges Grand Master Chong Su Kim for his historic contributions to the development and advancement of Taekwondo in the United States. His participation in and connection to this formative era reflects the direct lineage between early world-level competition in Korea and the growth of Taekwondo across America.
