This is the Kukkiwon 9th dan belt of Miroslav Brezan. It holds historical significance because it is the first 9th Dan issued by the Kukkiwon to an individual in Croatia. Miroslav Brezan was one of the prolific figures not only in Croatia (the former Yugoslavia) but in Europe as well. In addition to being one of the princial founders of the the famous club Karlovac he competed as a member of the Yugoslavia National Taekwondo Team at the first 1974 ITF World Taekwondo Championships in Montreal Canada followed by the 1975 World Taekwondo Championships held in South Korea in 1975.
In 2009 he received the highest honor in Taekwondo upon being inducted into the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame®️ and in 2015 served as the Continental Director of the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame®️ representing Europe. In 2024 he made further history by become the first person from Croatia to be awarded 9th dan from Kukkiwon. While he is no longer here his service will never be forgotten
