After nearly two decades, a long-held aspiration has been realized with the U.S. Government Patent & Trademark Office granting official trademark status to the UNITED STATES TAEKWONDO MUSEUM®. This milestone marks a first in Taekwondo history. The museum showcases TKD-related historical items from the U.S.A. and around the world.
In 1978 the First Pan American Taekwondo Championships were held in Mexico City, Mexico organized by David Moon. This is the gold medal awarded to the first place winners in each division. The two dominant teams were Mexico and the United States.
