Joseph Sanderson Hayes, one of the greatest players of the U.S.A. during the 60’s and 70’s was admired by his opponents including the late Bruce Lee. Hayes was the only player to gain a birth on the first and second U.S. National Teams in 1973 and 1975. Among the numerous tournaments he won including Richard Chun’s Universal Open several times he garnered an individual bronze in the 1973 World Taekwondo Championships which were held in Seoul, Korea. In 2007 he was inducted into the Inaugural OFFICIAL TAEKWONDO HALL OF FAME®
