This original ticket which has never before been seen by the global Taekwondo community is an authentic artifact from the 1977 World Taekwondo Championships, held in Chicago, Illinois, one of the landmark international events in the early global expansion of Taekwondo.
The United States Taekwondo Museum®️ extends its sincere appreciation to Grandmaster Chong Su Kim for providing this rare and historic artifact. Through contributions such as this, the foundational history of Taekwondo is being preserved and formally enshrined for future generations.
This artifact is now part of the permanent collection of the first global, all-inclusive Taekwondo museum, where it will serve as a primary source document reflecting the sport’s international growth during the 1970s.
