First place gold medal presented to all members of the First Official USA National Taekwondo Team in 1975. That was the year the team was determined as a result of regional matches leading to the team selection finals in Yale University in New Haven Connecticut. The U.S.A. became an official member of the world sports governing body World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) that same year.The first official national team members in addition to this writer were Bill Felton, Dennis Robinson, Terrance Watson, Clark Murphy, Gary Mule, Bob Phillips and John Holloway.
