In commemorate the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame® hosting its historic ceremony at the legendary Kukkiwon headquarters in 2011, this ring—crafted in solid gold and set with genuine diamonds—was specially produced by 1969 All-American Open Grand Champion Mitchell Bobrow with the authorization of the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame®. The ring was created exclusively for, and presented to, the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame® as a commemorative gift.
Bobrow, who competed against Chuck Norris, Joe Lewis, Louis Delgado, Joseph Hayes and many other notable figures during the 1960s, was inducted into the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame® alongside pioneers such as Jhoon Rhee, Skipper Mullins, Allen Steen, and Joseph Hayes at the inaugural induction ceremony in 2007. In addition to his induction, Bobrow served as the inaugural Honorary Ceremony Chairman.
Since that time, every individual receiving Taekwondo’s highest honor—induction into the Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame®—has been presented with a commemorative ring. While subsequent rings are not as elaborate as the one displayed here, each bears the recipient’s last name on one side and the official Hall of Fame logo with the year of induction on the other.
Following his career as a competitor Bobrow formed “OTOMIX” a world wiide martial arts sporting gear company that after numerous decade continues to serve martial arts community. The Otomix banner was prominantly displayed at the Official Taekwondo Hall Fame Ceremony held at Kukkiwon in 2011 and no doubt will appear at the next ceremony later this year.
Join us at the next Official Taekwondo Hall of Fame® ceremony scheduled for August 14–15, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jersey City, honorees and get a rare opportunity to view this magnificent and historically significant precious piece of artwork crafted in precious metal and stone.
